Arriving on Netflix soon would be The Witcher Season 3 with the return of Geralt of Rivia into the medieval world of humans and monsters and the filming of the series already started in April 2022. A new behind-the-scenes photo of the stunts workshop reveals an impressive sword collection that will be used in the show.

The Witcher has gained its popularity since its inception in Netflix. Based on the work of author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher follows an unorthodox family fighting for the truth in a world where humans and monsters co-exist.

The executive producer of The Witcher Season 3, Steve Gaub, shared a photo of the behind-the-scenes of the show on Instagram which boasts more or less 50 prop swords, all lined up against the wall. One of the swords even has some green paint which indicates that the sword will have to go through some visual effects for post-production.

The Witcher has Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia bannering the series as the monster hunter in a medieval world where he encounters Yennefer, a quarter elf portrayed by Anya Chalotra, and Ciri, a magical princess played by Freya Allan. Other characters include Joey Batey’s Jaskier, Eamon Farren’s Cahir, Anna Shaffer’s Triss, and MyAnna Buring’s Tissaia.

New additions to The Witcher Season 3’s cast includes Robbie Amell who would don the part of the elf warrior Gallatin, Meng’er Zhang who will portray the dryad huntress Milva, Hugh Skinner, and Christelle Elwin.

The Witcher Season 3 will follow Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer as they encounter dark magic and face much darker political schemes. With the completion of the filming of the series nearing, the director of the show, Stephen Sirjik, also confirmed that Season 4 has already been laid out with the writers and producers mapping it.

The Witcher Season 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix while Season 3 has no release date yet.
