The Witcher Showrunner Says Season 3 Will Be 'Huge'

We just got the second season of The Witcher but it looks like the series isn't slowing down. Lauren Hissrich has just hyped up Season 3 yet again. This time, the showrunner claims that the upcoming season is going to be "huge!"

There is little doubt that people have high hopes when it comes to The Witcher Season 2. After all, the first two seasons have been truly impressive so far and the latest season finale concluded on a major reveal that had fans talking for several weeks.

So what can we expect in The Witcher Season 3? Fans believe that things are being taken on another level considering the success of the first two seasons. One fan reached out to Lauren Hissrich asking if the budget for the third season will be bigger than usual since it is adapting a major part of Andrzej Sapkowski's works. Interestingly, the showrunner somehow confirmed this and more.

It's a small but awesome tease at things that are coming in The Witcher Season 3. The series has already covered two of Sapkowski's books and it was previously confirmed we'll continue to see some tales from Blood of Elves. However, a huge chunk of the upcoming season will be about the novel Time of Contempt.

The previous season concluded with Emperor Emphyr arriving in Cintra and revealing that he was the one who had Francesca's baby killed. As Fringilla and Cahir are arrested for lying to him, it is revealed that the Emperor is actually Ciri's father Duny.

It was an amazing conclusion and there is little doubt we'll see more of Emphyr in the future. With that in mind, we will be waiting for updates on the upcoming season.

The Witcher Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
