The Witcher Star Possibly NOT Returning for Season 3

There is little doubt that The Witcher has introduced a lot of important characters from the books in the second season and these new players are expected to continue playing major roles in the series. But is it possible that Season 3 will not bring back one of Geralt of Rivia's old friends? Adjoa Andoh may have confirmed that Nenneke isn't returning in the third season!

Adjoa Andoh was introduced as Nenneke in The Witcher Season 2 as Geralt brought Ciri to the Temple of Melitele so the High Priestess can help the princess control her powers. Things didn't work out as Geralt hoped but fans believe that Nenneke is set to return in the third season to guide her old friend.

But is it possible that Nenneke has been written out of The Witcher Season 3? Andoh recently spoke to Radio Times where she admitted she isn't sure if her character is returning to the series.

“Yeah, I don't know," she stated. "We'll see. The books are so huge. And they've gone so many different ways in the stories. Nenneke is in the books a lot. But it depends what they want to do with, you know, this version of it."

Andoh continued that she trusts what the show wants to do with the ongoing storyline.

"It's totally about what the creators of the show want to do with the material from the books and how they want to swing that, and so we'll wait and see," she said.

It's disappointing to know that Nenneke might not be back in the third season but it's still too early to say. After all, Season 3 has just begun production and there's a good chance Andoh will be called back to work on the series.

The Witcher Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
