Streaming giant Netflix is delivering all the goodies to fans as it officially kicked off Geeked Week last Monday. So far, they have dropped announcements and updates about several upcoming shows such as Shadow and Bone Season 2, the live-action version of Cowboy Beebop, Neil Gaiman's Sandman, and the highly-anticipated third season of The Umbrella Academy. Now, we're only halfway through Geeked Week and the surprises are obviously far from over.

Taking to the official Twitter handle of the 5-day nerdgasmic event, Netflix teased a special announcement regarding The Witcher and while they didn't go much into detail about the upcoming news, it's safe to assume that we may get our first taste of The Witcher Season 2's trailer later this week. The idea doesn't sound too farfetched as well given the fact that the Henry Cavill-led series is scheduled to hit the streaming service later this year.

Speaking of The Witcher, the upcoming season of the hit Netflix series based on the popular video game was originally slated to premiere last year but unfortunately suffered several delays over the last couple of months mainly due to the COVID-19 situation and the nasty injury Henry Cavill sustained while filming but by the looks of things, there's no stopping Season 2 from dropping this year.

We still know very little about the upcoming season but it's already looking pretty promising. It's also quite obvious that Netflix considers the series as one of its flagship projects right now and honestly speaking, they have every reason to be pleased about it because what's not to love about the show?

Meanwhile, rewatch all episodes of The Witcher Season 1 on Netflix.
