Shadow and Bone Renewed for Season 2

We have all been waiting anxiously for some good news about Shadow and Bone after the first season concluded on a cliffhanger. Luckily, it's time to thank the Saints. Shadow and Bone Season 2 has been officially announced by the cast themselves.

The renewal was confirmed in an announcement video featuring Jessie Mei Li, Ben Barnes, Archie Renaux, Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young, Danielle Galligan, and Calahan Skogman. It starts out with Li wondering if the Sun Summoner's powers had worked in renewing the show.

It is Barnes who drops a major spoiler. "I'll see you in Season 2," he declares. The cast also thank the fans with Galligan claiming "we could not have done it without you." Young is quick to point out that Milo the goat had a lot to do with that as well.

We're loving the announcement video but it's not exactly a huge surprise that Netflix has decided to renew the series. After all, Shadow and Bone is one of the most viewed shows on the streaming service. In addition to that, the first season concluded with a tease at a future that will reveal the Darkling's growing powers.

For now, it has not yet been revealed when Shadow and Bone Season 2 will begin production. However, there is a possibility that the cast will reunite to start filming before the end of the year.

Shadow and Bone Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
