The Uncanny Counter actor Jo Byung Kyu will appear in another project after wrapping the filming for his hit series' season 2.

The first season of the webtoon-based series, which aired from November 2020 to January 2021, earned massive praise for its hair-raising plot and storyline. The Kdrama series explores the lives of demon hunters called Counters as they hunt down demons who aim to have eternal life on Earth.

The production team has been working on its second season, and one of its main stars, Jo Byung Kyu, will be busy even after the filming ends.

The Uncanny Counter Star Jo Byung Kyu To Appear on Paradise

Dispatch (via Nate) cited the statement from Jo Byung Kyu's agency confirming the actor's next project after filming The Uncanny Counter 2.

According to HB Entertainment on Friday, the actor will work together with director Jung Hyung Ki for a new project titled Paradise. He will play the role of the famous actor, Kang Jin Hyuk, who finds himself in the middle of hot water after getting involved in a drug-related incident.

"Jo Byung Kyu is currently wrapping up filming for the drama 'The Uncanny Counter 2'. As soon as production is over, he's planning to immediately start filming for 'Paradise,'" the label continued.

Other details, including Paradise's cast members, release date, and other information, are yet to be released to the public.

Meanwhile, the release date of Jo Byung Kyu's The Uncanny Counter 2 has not been set. However, there had been rumors that it would be broadcast in July.

The production team clarified the rumors and revealed that the show would be dropped in the second half of 2023.

Jo Byung Kyu, Other The Uncanny Counter Cast Members To Work With The Glory Kim Hieora

Ahead of its release, fans became more hyped after the Kdrama series announced The Glory actress Kim Hieora as its new cast member.

She will reportedly play the main villain role.

In the new photos she shared, the actress donned a pixie blonde cut which highlights her potential in perfectly portraying her evil character.

Apart from the actress, Kang Ki Young, Yoo In Soo, and Jin Seon Kyu will join as the other villains.
