MBC hit show King of Masked Singer recently featured Clazziquai Horan even after her third DUI incident.
On April 9, the King of Masked revealed the identity of one of its singers. It turned out that the participants also included Clazziquai's vocalist, Horan, who has been embroiled in three DUI charges.
As a result, viewers slammed the network for featuring the singer despite her controversy.

MBC Apologizes After Featuring Horan
After Horan's identity was confirmed, viewers expressed their discomfort on the show's viewer bulletin board. Among the comments left on the section read:
"She has three DUIs."
"There are so many other artists; what is MBC's intention for allowing Horan to appear?"
"Even if she is skilled, this is not the right time."

On Monday, the King of Masked Singer production team issued a formal apology following the backlash.
"We apologize for causing discomfort to the viewers. We were unable to meet the expectation of our viewers due to the wrong judgment of the production team. We will self-reflect after seeing the criticism," the team said.
The Korea Herald noted that Wavve removed two to three minutes of footage of Horan without her mask.
The production team also deleted her segment from several OTT viewing platforms since the viewers called out MBC.
Horan's DUI Charges
Horan has been in hot waters due to her involvement in three DUI cases.
After his DUI charges in 2004 and 2007, she drove again under the influence in September 2016, during which she even crashed into a Seongdong-gu Office vehicle at the southern end of Seongsu Bridge in Seoul.
At that time, a sanitation officer who was in the vehicle sustained injuries.
Despite that, Horan positively appeared on King of Masked Singer as the production team introduced her as a "vocal queen" and "beloved vocalist with a charming voice." She also expressed his love for fans who have been supporting her and revealed she would release new music soon.
"I don't have a lot of experience, and I'm the type to get extremely nervous. Today, I received encouragement since the first round. [So] I could have gained the courage to stand here until the end. I'm going to release a new single soon, so please listen to it a lot. I will see you all soon through my concert," she went on.
