The Star Wars Cassian Andor Show Will Go Through Rewrites Before Filming

Despite its many flaws, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has a lot of fans and it's one of the reasons why fans are excited for the upcoming Star Wars spin-off focused on Cassian Andor. The show has been in development for some time with lead star Diego Luna confirming that this series would be shooting this year. It seems like Luna got a bit too excited since reports state that the show will need to go through some rewrites first before filming starts.

According to GeeksWorldWide, the series was supposed to start shooting this June but the script rewrites have led to a delay. Apparently, the shooting for this Cassian Andor show has been removed from the production schedule so it looks like we're in for a long wait. That's no problem since we'd rather have a well-made product t=hat's late, though waiting can be pretty annoying.

This isn't the first time we've seen a Star Wars show delayed since Obi-Wan Kenobi also got one recently. The show was also delayed due to script issues so these two Disney+ series have something odd in common. At the least, we have The Mandalorian Season 2 to look forward to, whenever that comes out.

Don't expect to see the Rogue One spin-off based on Cassian Andor anytime soon. Much like Obi-Wan Kenobi, this is going to take some time and we can only hope that the wait is worth it.
