With the success of The Mandalorian and the future of Star Wars heading into television, fans are really excited for the shows to come in the following years, including the Rogue One prequel series. While most details are yet to be revealed about the show, actor Diego Luna has revealed when they'll start shooting.
"Yes, we are doing it. We are doing it this year," Luna told ET. "It's happening, and I'm getting ready for it." The actor admits that he knows "very little" about the show for now, but he has already read some scripts, and Luna is pretty excited to reprise his role.
"I can't wait," he added. "It is really cool to tell a story where you already know the ending." Luna also teased a "different approach" to the show, because of its "beauty" and how things are going to unfold. "It's not just what happens. It's not the typical way of approaching a story," the actor continued.
"It's about how things happen, which in fact, is the same that happened in Rogue One," Luna added. "You know the ending, but you don't know how it happened, and we have that challenge in front of us again, which is exciting."
Aside from Luna, Alan Tudyk will also return as K-2SO. He revealed in a previous interview that after he has seen "how much fun it is" to go into "smaller stories" like in The Mandalorian, he's excited to reprise his role.
The show is yet to have a release date but Variety revealed that the Cassian Andor series will reportedly make its debut on Disney+ in 2021.
