While the movie has yet to be released on streaming platforms internationally, fans have some cool collectibles to look forward to. Recently, a new merch line for The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie was released, and it shows the five Nakano siblings swapping outfits with each other.
Aside from featuring pretty new art, these new merch pieces are sure to test out any fan’s skills in determining which quintuplet is which.
Telling the Nakano Quintuplets Apart
The Quintessential Quintuplets may not have the most original story given that harem rom-com anime are a dime a dozen.
However, it does put a unique twist on the formula by having the girls be quintuplets.
Specifically, the show’s main character, Fuutarou, is revealed to marry one of these five siblings in the future, though it’s not revealed which one in the beginning.
Despite looking alike, it’s usually easy to tell the quintuplets apart thanks to their outfits.
For instance, Miku always wears headphones around her neck while Yotsuba is the girl who always has a green ribbon.
For those who watched the anime, their different hair colors are also a great way to tell them apart. But did you know that canonically, they all share the same hair color?
The anime went with different hair colors for each girl so that viewers don’t get confused.
This was even used in one of the episodes when they tried to have Fuutarou guess who’s who.
