The Mandalorian Actor Giancarlo Esposito Teases Moff Gideon Being Force-Sensitive

Things have been great for former Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito recently. He's expected to have a bigger role in The Boys Season 2 and will be the big villain for Far Cry 6. We can also expect to see Esposito back as Moff Gideon for The Mandalorian Season 2, especially after that jaw-dropping cliffhanger with the Darksaber. This was a big hint that Gideon could be a big-time Sith-Lord and Esposito is teasing bigger things for the character.

And by bigger things, we mean being "force-sensitive," which is the new in thing with Star Wars, alongside Baby Yoda and shirtless Kylo Ren.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight about Far Cry 6, Esposito was inevitably asked about his big return in The Mandalorian Season 2 where he dropped some big-time teases. While the one about Gideon being a "descendant of Darth Vader" is highly improbable, the one about Moff being a force-sensitive sith definitely has some merit to it. I mean, look at the weapon he was holding.

"To have this saber means I could use it, and I can do my own dirty work, that I'm a fighter, I'm a warrior, that's part of me, also creates the possibility that he is, ya know, one of the ones, ya know, like, he possibly has THAT and that to me is interesting. Because is he really that fallen hero?"

Lightsaber battles were teased for the upcoming season of The Mandalorian, so you can't help but assume that Gideon is going to get his hands dirty in the most epic way possible. We're all pumped to see more of these awesome battles since this show is arguably the best use of Star Wars from Disney.

No firm release date on The Mandalorian Season 2 has been given, though it is expected to come out this year.
