There is little doubt that the final episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 was action-packed and filled with awesome surprises. But what's the best thing about Chapter 16: The Rescue? We can't pick just one so here are the highlights of The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 8.
Mandalorians vs THAT Mandalorian
Let's start off with the first tense action sequence in The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 8. The episode opens with Mando and his team capturing Doctor Pershing and immediately reach out to Bo-Katan Kryze and her companions. Interestingly, it doesn't go well at first for Boba Fett and the other Mandalorians which leads to an awesome yet brief fight between the former bounty hunter and Koska Reeves. Although they eventually work things out, it's a reminder that no one should mess with Koska, not even Boba.
Beskar Steel Spear vs Dark Troopers
We always knew that weapon would come in handy. Mando immediately uses the Beskar steel spear against a Dark Trooper effectively but then decides to eject the rest out of the cruiser. Which isn't really a bad thing since there's a bigger enemy to fight.
Din Djarin vs Moff Gideon
It has already been confirmed by Giancarlo Esposito that Gideon will go up against Mando and yet we weren't quite prepared for the fight itself. Wielding the Darksaber, Gideon attacks Mando, who uses the spear against him. Again, this is s short fight but it was well worth the wait.
Luke Skywalker vs Dark Troopers
This is the hallway scene that nobody expected but loved nonetheless. Luke arrives just in time to save everyone from the Dark Troopers and does so with amazing speed. Not surprisingly, everyone is comparing it to Darth Vader's epic hallway scene in Rogue One and we're loving the parallels between father and son.
