The Mandalorian has already made its debut and is already in its second episode. And while it looks like the series is proving to have great potential, producer Jon Favreau is already planning up some ideas for another Star Wars project.

It is now known that Favreau was always fond of the cult classic Star Wars Holiday Special which aired on CBS back in 1978. He even mentioned about putting some Easter eggs from the movie to The Mandalorian as well. And while the show has just started, Favreau revealed to Variety that he is already interested in a cast member from the series.

He didn't specify who he's particularly interested in though since the actor is yet to make an appearance in The Mandalorian. Being careful not to spoil future episodes of the show, he says he'll leave it at that for now.

The outlet asked if Favreau was actually serious and the producer doubled down on his interest to do the holiday special. He admits that he has been thinking about it. "It's ready, the ideas are ready," he adds. He claims it would be "fun and weird" because it's something that wasn't connected to "what Star Wars was in the theater."

He also revealed that the Mandalorian cartoon, the Boba Fett cartoon, and the holiday special were some of his inspirations for the things they did for the Disney+ show.
