It's been a while since there has been any update on what is currently dubbed The Star Wars Project (TBA), the open-world game that's set to take place in the faraway galaxy, which will be a first for the franchise.

Star Wars is no stranger to video games, of course, and there are many other titles on the horizon, but Ubisoft's upcoming title will be the first time players will be able to explore iconic worlds and venture into deep space.

There's really no other information on the game, so we don't know who the playable characters will be, and nor do we know what planets will feature in the game, or how interplanetary travel will even work.

But what we do know is this project is a massive undertaking, and that the payoff is bound to be huge. And if you're looking for some idea as to what you can expect, perhaps this new fan-made gameplay footage will do just that.

While the game is probably a few years out, at least we have The Mandalorian Season 3 to look forward to in the meantime, which premieres on Disney+ on March 1.
