The Mandalorian Season 2 marked the triumphant and jaw-dropping return of iconic Star Wars character Boba Fett to the franchise and to say that it was a success is a complete understatement because the famed bounty hunter played by Temuera Morrison pretty much proved that he still deserves a place in the galaxy far, far away. Unsurprisingly, the great reception Fett's epic return generated convinced Lucasfilm that his story should just end there.

Now, Morrison is set to lead his own series The Book of Boba Fett which hits Disney+ in December. Fett only made a few appearances in Season 2 of The Mandalorian but apparently, one of the scenes Temuera shot didn't make it in the final cut of Chapter 14 aka "The Tragedy". A video ILM released on YouTube reveals a deleted scene from the show which would have featured Fett meeting with Greef Karga presumably after his encounter with Din Djarin. Check it out here:

Fett and Karga have never shared scenes in The Mandalorian but the connection between the two isn't all that surprising considering Greef serves as the leader of the Bounty Hunter's Guild. Of course, being the legendary hunter that he is, it's safe to assume that Boba has had a number of encounters with him in the past.

As for the actual history between the two, I'm guessing The Book of Boba Fett will address it and I wouldn't be surprised if we'll end up seeing actor and director Carl Weathers in the forthcoming spinoff series.

The Book of Boba Fett premieres on Disney+ in December. Meanwhile, The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to drop in early 2022.
