The LEGO Movie 2 Releases Holiday Short with Emmet

The LEGO Movie 2 may be coming out next year, but WB has released this neat little short featuring all the characters to celebrate the holidays. Check out Emmet's Holiday Party.

It looks like they've managed to get all the original actors to provide their voices or the short. Seeing as an animation like this would take a lot of time to make, I'm guessing they already asked the actors to provide their voices in the middle of shooting the actual film.

What's cool is, the short actually gives us a good look at all the returning characters—plus some of the new ones. We know that Metalbeard will eventually lose his body, and other than Unikitty's new look, she now transforms a la Hulk into this more ferocious version of herself.

As for new characters, we get a look at Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi (Tiffany Haddish), and Sweet Mayhem (Stephanie Beatriz).

It's been more than half a decade since the release of the first LEGO Movie and a lot of fans can't wait to see more of Emmet's adventures with his friends. It looks like the film will take place right after the end of the first movie, and will see how the main boy's play area has been decimated by his sister who mostly plays with the kid-friendly DUPLO.

It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.
