The Killer's Shopping List will be Hyeyeon’s stepping stone in expanding her acting career.
tvN will soon launch another thriller drama featuring Lee Kwang Soo and Seol Hyun. The former Running Man star will play Dae Sung’s role, a part-time worker at MS Mart who has an excellent memory. His girlfriend, Seol Hyun’s A Hee, works as a police officer.
The two characters then join forces to solve a mysterious murder case that happened near an apartment building. The only clue they have is the receipt MS Mart issued.
Jin Hee Kyung, Shin Sung Woo, Jang Won Young, Moon Hee Kyung, Kim Mi Hwa, Park Ji Bin, Ryu Yeon Seok, Lee Kyo Yeob, Oh Hye Won, and Bae Myung Jin complete the list of cast members.
Ahead of its expected release next month, the series welcomed former gugudan member, Hyeyeon, who now goes by the stage name Jo Aram.

Jo Aram Joins The Killer's Shopping List
Jo Aram debuted with Jellyfish Entertainment’s first girl group in June 2016. The label named the girl group gugudan – stylized as gu9udan or gx9 – and presented them to the public with their first EP, Act. 1 The Little Mermaid.
Originally, the group was composed of nine members – Mimi, Hana, Haebin, Nayoung, Sejeong, Sally, Soyee, Mina, and Hyeyeon. But Jo Aram (Hyeyeon) left the group in October 2018 – two years before they disbanded.

After deciding to become an actress, Korean media outlets confirmed that she has been cast to be part of the drama series. With that, The Killer's Shopping List will serve as her debut project since leaving her career as a K-pop idol.
Jo Aram will play the role of a part-time worker in the series. Her character has seven years working as a part-timer at a supermarket, but it remains unknown whether she will have a huge role in the murder case in the series.
Jo Aram Finds New Agency
The casting happened after Beyond J confirmed that it secured a contract with the idol-turned-actress. It revealed that she would promote as an actress instead since she has unlimited hidden potential in the industry.
“As actress Jo Aram, who is full of dreams, attempts to take a leap forward and begin her acting career in earnest, we plan to work and journey together with her so that she can pursue a broad array of activities through a wide variety of platforms and projects. We ask that you please give her lots of love, interest, and support,” the statement went on.
As of press time, Jo Aram has not confirmed whether she already visited her upcoming drama’s set.
