In related news, the actor will unite with Girls’ Generation member Seohyun in the upcoming Netflix original series, Song of the Bandits.
The series, which is set in the 1920s, tells the story of the Koreans who gathered in Gando (which is now part of northeastern China) as they protect their homes during the Japanese invasion from 1910 to 1945. Kim Nam Gil will play Lee Yoon’s role, a former Japanese soldier who leaves his former life to become an outlaw and protect the Koreans against the Japanese military.
Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Hyun Wook, and Lee Ho Jung also joined the cast members’ list.
