After captivating hearts in Business Proposal, Kim Min Kyu returns in the new Kdrama, The Heavenly Idol. It is a tvN series that also stars Go Bo Gyeol and Lee Jang-Woo. Based on the webtoon of the same name, the series depicts the story of Pontifex Rembrary, who suddenly finds himself in the body of a Kpop idol member. In this new world, he struggles to live as an idol member while looking for a way to return to the Other World.

The Heavenly Idol Episode 2 Recap
The Heavenly Idol Episode 2 sees Kim Min Kyu and Go Bo Gyeol crossing paths at a broadcasting station when the latter stops the confused Rembrary from trespassing the building. Rembrary, who is in the body of a washed-up idol named Woo Yeon Woo, hopes to return to the Other World and take down the Evil One. After hearing everything, Kim Dal cried and was terribly worried about the mental condition of her favorite idol member.
Kim Dal managed to convince Rembrary that the only way to enter the building is if he becomes famous. Rembrary learns that he needs to be a successful idol and works his way to living as Woo Yeon Woo. He also realizes that eating chocolates, or "tributes," is a way for him to recover his divine powers.

On the other hand, the recent interview with Woo Yeon Woo was a trending topic as soon as it was uploaded. LLL Entertainment used it to its advantage and continued looking for ways to make Wild Animal more known.
A producer of the survival show contacts the entertainment company and wishes to cast Woo Yeon Woo as one of the contestants. However, the producer wants to have Woo Yeon Woo as the villain. The director of LLL Entertainment agrees with the condition but demands that another member of Wild Animal be cast in the show as well.
Kasy, Jongseo, and Woo Yeon Woo arrive at the photo shoot for the survival program. The photographer was rude, as the group is not famous, so he started treating Kasy badly. Woo Yeon Woo takes over while Jongseo calms Kasy and encourages him to just do his best.
Woo Yeon Woo follows the photographer's instructions, and different from what his two members expected, he is doing so well. Until the photographer asked him to act evil, like a bad boy. This irritated Woo Yeon Woo, because, as the Pontifex Rembrary, he could not accept that people in that world liked to act evil.

Meanwhile, Kim Dal gets accepted at LLL Entertainment as Wild Animal's new road manager. As she was taking the members home from the photo shoot, she took Rembrary to a psychiatrist.
Kim Dal remembers how she was in a rough spot some years ago and was about to take her own life. Until Woo Yeon Woo comes to her and gives her a signed CD. Wild Animal was still a rookie group and still had a few fans, so Woo Yeon Woo was eager to introduce his group to as many people as possible. So, when he saw Kim Dal holding a plastic bag with soju and charcoal briquettes, he knew he had to save her.
Woo Yeon Woo gave her a signed CD, photocards, and an invitation to the fan signing next week. He took the plastic bag from Kim Dal as "payment." And when Kim Dal read the dedication on the CD, she shed tears, and that was the day an idol member saved her from being devoured by darkness.

The Heavenly Idol Episode 2 also highlights Rembrary's ability to communicate with Woo Yeon Woo at the Other World.
