The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Revealed Steve Rogers' Fate After Avengers: Endgame

There is little doubt that fans can't stop talking about the new Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. But what happened to the old one? Interestingly, the first episode of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series actually revealed what happened to old Steve Rogers after the events in Avengers: Endgame.

We already know that Steve decided to stay in the past and lived a life with Peggy Carter after returning all the Infinity Stones in Endgame. The future Steve then appeared as an old man who handed over his shield to Sam Wilson.

But what happened to old Steve after Endgame? Many have feared that he passed away soon after giving Sam the shield. However, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier confirmed that Steve is still alive and well in the present day.

An eagle-eyed fan noticed that the premiere episode confirmed that old Steve is still alive through a display that paid tribute to Captain America at the Smithsonian. Check it out below.

"With the death of Tony Stark, Steve Rogers honored his friend by finally retiring and laying down his shield, enjoying the world he had fought so hard to protect. With this exhibit, we honor the life and legacy of Steve Rogers, Captain America: patriot, soldier, hero," the last part of the display reads.

It's good to know that old Steve is peacefully living the rest of his life on Earth and not the moon as Joaquin Torres thought. With that in mind, we're hoping this could mean we'll see old Steve again in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

The first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is titled New World Order. It is now available for streaming on Disney+.
