The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is slated for release on March 10, 2021, at 3:00 AM US EST on Disney+. The episodes will be released continuously every week until it reaches the season finale after six episodes, ending on April 23, 2021.

After the final episode, there would be a one-week pause before Black Widow arrives in theaters on May 7, 2021. If the Marvel and Disney+ would be following the trend it has set after WandaVision, there would also be a Marvel's Assembled documentary series for the behind-the-scenes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier during the one-week break after the series' final episode.

In The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Sam and Bucky will team up to continue the legacy of Captain America through the representation of his shield and fight for the cause he established over the years of being Captain America.

The official synopsis of the show is below:

"After being handed the mantle of Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson teams up with Bucky Barnes in a worldwide adventure that puts their abilities to the test as they fight the anarchist group, the Flag-Smashers."

Helmut Zemo is one of the villains that would be appearing in the series to exact his vengeance after being turned over to the authorities by T'Challa in Captain America: Civil War. The Flag-Smashers, an anarchist group, will be trying to put down the US government.

John Walker/ US Patriot may or may not be a villain but his motives are still questionable despite being the candidate of the US Government to be the official successor of Captain America. Other possible villains of the series would be Batroc the Leaper, Thaddeus Ross, and what remains of HYDRA.
