What Happened in Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Finale?
The Bad Batch just got into something that they will never forget in Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 finale, Episodes 15 and 16, titled The Summit, and Plan 99 which brought the viewers all the emotions!
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 15 Recap: They Got Stranded!
In Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 15, the penultimate run titled The Summit, the Bad Batch followed Dr. Hemlock to learn more about the Science Division activities being held at a summit under Tarkin on Eriadu.
The summit has a goal of making a network where they plan to take control of the whole galaxy and the secret research about the cloning technology of the Kaminoans would have a critical role in achieving the goal.
The Bad Batch gets in and they see Saw Gerrera at the summit where his team would assassinate the top-level officers of the Imperial who attends the gathering.
However, when the alarms were raised to detect the intruders, Gerrera's team used explosives for their escape but in the process, that destroyed the railcar that the Bad Bad would be using for a way out. They get stranded at the summit.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 16 Recap: A Heartbreaking Sacrifice and A Shocking Revelation!
In Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 16, the finale titled Plan 99, it involves a heartbreaking decision for one of them and a secret that would change everyone's perspective!
With the derailment of the railcar, one of the Bad Batch, Tech, sacrifices his life so that the others could escape. Barely making it out after the heartbreaking loss of a member, they reach Ord Mantell.
There, Cid betrays them and turns them over to Hemlock. Hunter and Wrecker are taken and Echo and AZI go on to the rescue. In the process, Omega gets captured and she is taken to Mt. Tantiss with Nala Se and Crosshair waiting for her.
Omega (and everyone watching) gets a surprise when Emerie Karr arrives and reveals herself with a secret: she is another clone and the genetic sister of Omega!

The Ending of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Explained
The two episodes are packed with a lot of things that connects the series to the wider narrative of the galaxy far, far away. There's Saw Gerrera who previously appeared in various Star Wars movies and series.
The revelation of Emerie Karr being the genetic sister of Omega definitely shocked everyone! This shatters the perspective that Omega is the first female clone under Jango Fett made by the Kaminoans.
If it is true that Karr is really the genetic sister of Omega, then, that means there is another possible strand of the bloodline of Fett. Also, the involvement of Karr in the Empire's Advanced Science Division is a potential major narrative in Season 3.
With this, it is possible that only Nala Se holds all the truth but she either decides to keep it all to herself for whatever purpose it may serve to her or she is using it as her leverage for something else.
The death of Tech surely has a lingering effect on the whole team considering everything that they have been through as a group. It is a heartbreaking sacrifice that made everyone shed a tear. This death leaves a huge hole in their hearts, possibly even the narrative.
Of all of the Bad Batch, Tech is the most relatable character. Despite his cold and callous demeanor, the series showed how he cared for everyone even when he could not express it to them. He is the heart of the team and his loss definitely leaves a void.
Tech not only left the team, he also had a brooding romance with Phee Genoa. Despite not being vocal about it, Tech tries to show his feelings in the way he knows how. Plus, Tech was a genius, too.
But, there's a theory, too, that Tech could reappear sometime in the future should there be Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 with the narrative of Dr. Hemlock using decommissioned clones in his research. He could use Tech, too, against the Bad Batch.
Speaking of Dr. Hemlock, the way he presented his work seems to be on something personal because he described it as a work "of great importance to the Emperor." For Star Wars fans, this leads directly to the resurrection of Palpatine in The Rise of Skywalker.
This narrative on cloning can also connect Star Wars: The Bad Batch to why Dr. Pershing, an Imperial Remnant scientist, did experiments on Grogu as seen in the first season of The Mandalorian.
With all of that, should there be a Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3, the show already laid down the possibilities of what narratives could be explored in the third installment of the series which broadens the whole story of the clones and the rest of the franchise.
