At first, Episode 8 seems like more of the same, with Alicia being unreasonably (and troublingly, given her young age) possessive of Kimizuka, as she keeps tagging along while he and Siesta try to solve the mystery of Cerberus. When Kimi gives Alicia a ring to consolidate their partnership, Siesta grows increasingly jealous and refuses to talk to him.
When Kimizuka runs to Alicia's aid, understanding she's in trouble, Siesta understands that the ring was no symbol; it was a tracking device. Next to a hurt Alicia, the pair finds a police officer who sustains an injury on the left side of his chest - meaning he almost fell victim to the criminals who kill people and take their hearts.
Siesta grows increasingly suspicious of Alicia, thinking the police officer shot her because she tried to take his heart away, meaning that she works with SPES. While Kimi doesn't want to believe that, it is proved that Alicia is actually Hel, whom the pair is after. This explains why Alicia had no memories and felt older than she looked. Even as her true self resurfaces, Alicia reveals that she cherished her time with Kimi and Siesta, and the two decide to rescue her.
