The Book of Boba Fett's Episode Count Reportedly Revealed

Just when you thought Lucasfilm couldn't pull out a last-minute surprise for Star Wars fans, it was officially confirmed that Temuera Morrison will continue his journey as Boba Fett in the new spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett which is set to take place in The Mandalorian's current timeline. The series was first teased during the end-credits scene of Chapter 16 and even though we're still a full year away from its arrival, it's still great that we're getting additional Star Wars content to satisfy our fix.

Other details about the show are still being kept under wraps but The Book of Boba Fett potentially revolves around Fett's miraculous survival in Return of the Jedi up until his return in The Mandalorian Season 2. It's also been confirmed that the standalone series will be a separate show and in case you were wondering how many episodes the series will have, the good folks over at Small Screen claim that it will only be a mini-series that will have four episodes.

That may not sound too appealing but it's also worth noting that The Mandalorian Season 3 is slated for release around the holiday season in 2021 so I'm guessing The Book of Boba Fett will only serve as a set-up for the third season. This also leaves the door wide open for Fett and Shand to make their way back into Mando's world, and the possibility of them reappearing in Season 3 still isn't out of the question.

The Book of Boba Fett is set for release in December 2021.
