The Batman ended with a bang and left us hanging with a lot to process. The Riddler (played by Edward Nashton) killed Falcone (played by John Turturro). Riddler is imprisoned, and we see him comforted by a mysterious prisoner who is suspected to be Joker. This could be a possible preview of Joker joining the fun in the sequel.

We can also anticipate further arc development for important characters in The Batman 2. Gordon could get promoted, Catwoman could be less ambiguous, and we could see a more nuanced Batman who is doing his best to fight against crime in Gotham.
