The Bad Batch Season 2 Will Explore How Clone Force 99 Changed After Omega Joined Them

Omega is undoubtedly one of the most interesting characters ever introduced in the Star Wars Universe and it's pretty obvious that she has had an amazing effect in The Bad Batch. After all, the young clone was immediately accepted by Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo when she decided to escape Kamino with Clone Force 99.

So what has happened since Omega and The Bad Batch parted ways with Crosshair in the season finale? Supervising director Brad Rau has just confirmed that Clone Force 99 has changed a lot when we see them again in Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2.

Brad Rau spoke about The Bad Batch Season 2 in the latest issue of SFX magazine and he confirmed that Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Echo have adjusted to being dads to Omega (via Gamesradar).

"We have so much fun with these tough-guy soldiers as the dads of Omega," Rau said. "In Season 1, it was a new thing for them. Now that time has passed, we're seeing how they've settled into those roles as a bunch of dads."

The trailer for The Bad Batch Season 2 certainly confirms that the team is now working better together and that Omega is playing an active role as a member of Clone Force 99. Still, we're looking forward to seeing the soldiers as doting dads to your newest member.

Brad Rau also confirmed one thing that fans have been wondering about since the first season concluded. In the final episode of The Bad Batch Season 1, it was revealed that Nala Se has been brought to an Imperial facility where she was greeted by another scientist wearing the same uniform worn by Dr. Pershing in The Mandalorian. As it turns out, that tease was there for a reason.

"That's not a coincidence," Rau said, "but I don't want to talk too much about what's going on there. We've got to leave some things in the dark, but we do get into all of that, one hundred per cent."

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on January 4, 2023.
