The release date of the highly-anticipated second season of the Star Wars series Andor was recently teased by Luthen Rael actor Stellan Skarsgard.
Fans have been patiently waiting for the show's upcoming season which is also set to be its final one. Production wrapped just recently after months of delay due to last year's Hollywood strikes.
Prior to the delay, the second season was originally slated to premiere this year, making it a two-year gap from when the first season aired.

Stellan Skarsgard Teases Andor Season 2 Plot and Release Date
In a recent interview with GamesRadar+, Skarsgard teased what they have in store for the upcoming second and final season of Andor and promised that the long wait will be worth it.
"It's the last season of it. It ends where Rogue One starts so it’s up to that point," he said.
"I think it will be very good as already the first one was satisfying for me because it’s sort of Star Wars for grown-ups – it’s a more realistic and complicated society that they’re living in and the claustrophobia of the fascist regime is palpable. I think we have a good season ahead of us."
Skarsgard also hinted at the potential release date of the second season as he suggested that it will likely arrive later this year at the earliest.
"It will probably be out towards the end of the year or early next," he said.
Considering that the next season is now in post-production, a release by the end of the year is not out of the realm of possibility if they do decide to premiere during the holiday season.
However, Lucasfilm already has two shows that are slated to premiere this year with The Acolyte on summer and Skeleton Crew potentially in the fall so they might rather spread them and have Andor season 2 premiere by next year instead.
We should be hearing more news and updates regarding the show's return in the coming months as the post-production work for the next season is still ongoing.
