The recently aired episode 6 of The Acolyte proved that Master Sol is not as dumb as some fans may think in the aftermath of the cliffhanger in last week's episode.

Master Sol's Force abilities have been questioned by fans as they wonder why he didn't immediately identify Mae when she pretended to be Osha at the end of episode 5 and fell into the "Parent Trap" switcheroo that Mae pulled off.

We're also seeing glimpses throughout the first season so far that Sol has hidden secrets that he is keeping from everyone and he might not be as kind as the series is seemingly suggesting him to be at this point.

Master Sol Senses Mae's Switcheroo in The Acolyte Episode 6

Episode 6 of The Acolyte titled "Teach/Corrupt" followed up on last week's cliffhanger where the twins switched places as Mae pretended to be Osha when he was rescued by Sol at the end of the episode.

Sol and Mae went aboard the ship and tried to contact the High Council to inform them about the massacre of the other Jedis in their fight against Qimir. The connection was fuzzy, but the message still reached Vernestra.

While wandering around the ship, Mae was reminded again of the day when the four Jedis tried to test her Force abilities. She also attempted to murder Sol, but it did not go through. The ship's power had a temporary blackout.

Sol apologized to "Osha" and promised that he would make things right. Meanwhile, Bazil was also sensing Mae's fraudulence and he tried to stop her by blinding her using PIP. However, it was unsuccessful.

Sol, who seemingly started to get suspicious about "Osha," and Mae had another conversation that resulted in the latter asking the Jedi Master about what really happened in Brendok 16 years ago.

When the power was restored, Mae immediately ran to the cockpit to call for help in the coms. She was paralyzed by Sol with a stun gun, confirming that he suspected Mae was pretending to be Osha all along. Then, Sol had the ship jump to hyperspace.

Mae woke up in a bed handcuffed while Sol was waiting on the side. He stood up and asked Mae to listen to him, suggesting that he was finally admitting what happened in Brendok and setting up for another flashback episode next week.

Despite what fans may have thought of Sol, he was still able to figure out Mae's deception and the Force is still strong with him even if it does not appear that way. Whether he knew from the beginning or not is debatable, but any concerns regarding his ability were shot down in the episode.

It is interesting to see what will happen to Sol and Mae in the last two episodes, especially once the former explains his side of the Brendok incident.
