In the series, Grover comes across Augustus (played by Ted Dykstra) at the Lotus Hotel and Casino. Unknown to Grover, the older Satyr is under a spell.

Unfortunately, Grover realizes that the older Satyr is in a trance thanks to the lotus flower. Augustus' memory and connections to Grover have all been erased by the spell.

When Grover tells him about his quest, Augustus tells Grover to join him go to Pan's location. But shortly after, Grover remembers he needs to look for his friends. The casino, however, affects him and puts him into a trance too.

Later, Annabeth (played by Leah Sava Jeffries) and Percy (played by Walker Scobell) mistake Augustus for Grover.  When they finally realize the mistake, Augustus tells them where Grover is and the three friends leave the casino together.

They discover that the essence of the lotus flower is being pumped into the air in the casino, which affects people's logical thinking.
