Aryan Simhadri Has Bigger 'Shoes' To Fill in Percy Jackson and the Olympians

The first two episodes of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series premiere on December 20th on Disney Plus. Starring alongside Walker Scobel's titular half-blood with Leah Jeffries' Annabeth Chase, who does Aryan Simhadri play in the Percy Jackson series?

Aryan Simhadri Previously Starred in Disney Movies

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians cast are mostly child actors who came from a variety of projects and are looking to make a name in Hollywood. One of these kids happens to be Aryan Simhadri.

Aryan Simhadri has found himself acting in smaller roles in the past, which includes playing the bullied kid Riyaz in The Main Event, the older kid Haresh in Disney's Cheaper By the Dozen family, and one of Rhea's friends, Rohan, in yet another Disney original title Spin.

However, nothing comes close for Aryan Simhadri when cast as Percy Jackson's protector, Grover Underwood, on the Disney show, as he explained on Agents of Fandom:

"I think, for Grover, when things get tough, he kind of resorts to humor to kind of like hold everything together. I think I do that pretty often, too, and I agree, I think me and Grover have similar senses with humor — most important thing is not to panic."

Aryan Simhadri Plays a Major Role in the Disney Series

One of the concerns fans have in the Rick Riordan rebooted franchise is whether or not the trio has working chemistry or not but of course, that remains to be seen.

Considering that Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are the main focus of the story, we'll be seeing them devour monsters and gods on-screen.

Aryan Simhadri plays the satyr, Grover Underwood, in the upcoming Percy Jackson reboot. He is usually tasked to search for the demigods and bring them in one piece over to Camp Half-Blood for training.

While Brandon T. Jackson's Grover had a smaller part in the original movie franchise, Aryan's version of Grover is likely more involved this time, with the reboot being transformed into episodic storytelling.

Meanwhile, the official synopsis for Percy Jackson and the Olympians series reads:

Percy Jackson & the Olympians tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who's just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now, Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.
