So far, it looks every bit as cute and fun as the rest of the anime - though there's a permeating melancholy, one that's often associated with summers.
In the trailer, the usually carefree and cheerful Takagi is anxious, as she realizes her life might change, but Nishikata urges her to enjoy her last summer as a middle school student.
The official trailer markets the trailer as the true beginning of Nishikata and Takagi's story, suggesting that we can expect them to always be together moving forward - a fact confirmed by the spin-off manga in which they get married and have a daughter.

The official release date for the Teasing Master Takagi-san movie has been confirmed to be the 10th of June 2022 in Japan. The international distribution has not been announced yet.
