The original manga ended its serialization a few months ago. Now, the Teasing Master Takagi-san manga’s final volume has been released in Japan. As a special treat for fans, this last volume is available in a special edition with an art book filled with colored illustrations.
Details about the volume release were announced previously. After much anticipation, fans can finally buy the series’ proper finale in volume form so they can relive the manga’s tender final chapters.
Teasing Master Takagi-san Volume 20 Is the Manga’s Final Release
Many anime fans are no doubt familiar with Teasing Master Takagi-san thanks to its much-loved anime adaptation by Shin-Ei Animation (of The Dangers in My Heart fame).
Since the anime first aired in 2018, the series has gotten new seasons as well as an anime film that was released in 2022. All the while, the manga continued to get new chapters in Monthly Shonen Sunday.
As the manga has been ongoing since 2013, the series finally concluded in October 2023.
This should come as no surprise given that many monthly-serialized manga end after a decade, as was the case with Fullmetal Alchemist, and more recently, Delicious in Dungeon.
Given that the manga ended serialization, Teasing Master Takagi-san Volume 20 is officially the series’ final volume.
Despite the manga ending and the anime not being renewed yet for a new season, the series is continuing to get new projects. These include a live-action series adaptation on Netflix along with a new movie.

Full-Color Art Book Released in Takagi-san Volume 20 Special Edition
The Takagi-san Volume 20 release comes in two versions, with the first being a standard version that is similar to most other volume releases for the series.
Meanwhile, there’s a special edition release that has a B5 size and comes with a graduation photo-style illustration of Takagi and Nishikata.
What’s more, this version features a special art book with 272 pages of full-color illustrations. This art book makes it a must-have for the biggest fans of the series.
Japanese fans can now buy Volume 20 in its standard version. As for the special edition, the book sold out during pre-orders, but it got a reprint by popular demand.
There’s no word yet on a release date for Volume 20 internationally. Fans can expect to see it later this year though, as Volumes 18 and 19 will be released in English in January and May 2024, respectively.
