Frieren has been on a roll this season as it has continued to impress, especially with its memorable latest episode. Now, the series is about to get even more interesting as popular Jujutsu Kaisen Toji VA Takehito Koyasu is joining the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End cast.
Ahead of the anime’s 11th episode, it was revealed that Koyasu will voice Frieren’s newest character, Kraft.
This is a big addition to the anime considering that Koyasu is one of the most well-known VAs who is renowned for his distinctive voice.
Popular VA Takehito Koyasu Joins the Frieren Anime’s Cast
There are lots of anime VAs with unmistakable voices; think of someone like Kenjiro Tsuda (Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen) or Junichi Suwabe (Archer in Fate/stay night).
Among these is Takehito Koyasu, the iconic voice actor who has a distinct voice that most fans will be able to identify easily.
Perhaps his most popular role is Dio Brando, the fan-favorite villain in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Koyasu also has other popular roles, including Shinsuke Takasugi in Gintama, Zeke in Attack on Titan, and Kuzan in One Piece.
Fresh off his stint as Toji Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Koyasu is back with another role, this time as Kraft in Frieren.
Kraft was shown in the recently released preview images and teaser for the next episode. He is an elf that Frieren and her party will encounter.
This is a significant development, especially considering that some anime-only viewers have wondered if Frieren is the world’s sole remaining elf.

Frieren Is Not the Only Elf Remaining in Her World
In discussions online, some viewers have wondered about where all the elves are as Frieren is the only living elf shown in the anime so far.
Some even believe that she might be the last elf remaining. After all, Frieren did mention in a previous episode about how elves aren’t keen on procreating.
This has finally been debunked as the anime revealed that another elf named Kraft will make an appearance.
Kraft is described as an elven monk who is skilled in martial arts. Even though he looks fairly young, elves are long-lived, so it’ll be interesting to see how old he is compared to Frieren, who has been living for a thousand years.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 11 will be released this week on Crunchyroll in the US and other select regions.
