Taisho Otome Fairy Tale, Episode 10 will be a change of scenery. I must say, I'm excited for more 1920s Tokyo! According to the promo, Yuzuki will be going to the capital to visit her dear friend. It will be nice to see her independent from Tamahiko once before the final breeze.

The 12-episode slice of life anime is drawing to closure like many others at this time. If the manga is to be trusted, we expect some conflict, but Episode 10, at least, promises to be cute, fluffy, and a slice of life as we're used to.

Taiso Otome Fairy Tale is based on a manga of the same name. It tells the story of 17-year-old Shima Takahiko, the youngest son of a powerful family, who grew up without much affection. When he gets involved in an accident that kills his mother and permanently cripples his dominant arm, Takahiko's father banishes him to an isolated countryside residence.

There, Takahiko, who is suffering from depression, believes that he will die alone. To his surprise, a 14-year-old girl, Tachibana Yuzuki, appears at the door and proclaims that Takahiko's father sent her to be his future bride.

Seeing what a loving couple Yuzuki and Tamahiko are, Hakaru arranges for his sister, Kotori, to spend some time with them. Apart from being an idol, Kotori writes for a teenage girls' magazine. Her newest article is going to be about love, a feeling she hasn't experienced herself. She thus hopes to learn about it from Yuzuki.

Yuzuki is delighted to have her idol live with her for a bit. Of course, she's hilariously embarrassed to talk about her love with Tamahiko. Still, she does her best to describe her feelings. Kotori takes the description to be similar to her love for music, making for an interesting contrast.

For an episode that features Kotori trying to write about romantic love, the episode is refreshingly focusing on other forms of love. Over the course of Episode 9, we find out not only about her love for music, but also her relationship with her twin.

Early on, Yuzu and Tamahiko sense some awkwardness between the siblings. When Tamahiko confronts Hakaru about it, he finds out that his classmate was one as much in love as his sister. In fact, he was the one who got both of them into music. Unfortunately, he suffered a serious illness that incapacitated him for many years. While bed-ridden, he encouraged Kotori to keep studying music and performing.

Defying everyone's expectations, Hakaru survived the illness and could go back to a normal life. With his sister already an idol, however, he felt he was too far behind to even try singing or playing music. Tamahiko strongly encourages him to rediscover his passion, stressing that he was also a latecomer to high school.

By the end of the episode, Kotori has written not only an article, but also a new song, based on Yuzu's feedback. Hakaru is finally persuaded to perform a song along with Kotori.

The release date for Taisho Otome Fairy Tale is Saturday, the 11th of December. Fans in Europe, the US, and Canada will be able to access it from Friday, the 10th of December on Funimation. The episode's title is going to be "Yuzuki goes to Tokyo." Judging from the promo, it will focus on Yuzu taking a trip alone to reunite with her best friend from school.

If you're a premium user of Funimation, you'll be able to watch the new episode immediately upon release. Else, you will have to wait until early December and there will be ads.
