SHINee member Taemin trended worldwide after the K-pop idol completed his mandatory military service.
Taemin initially started his service as a member of the military band on May 31, 2021. However, a few months later, he worried fans as he was transferred to become a public service worker instead due to his depression and anxiety worsening symptoms.
With his fans and supporters' outpouring of love, the Move hitmaker successfully completed his service and returned healthily.

SHINee Taemin Is Back
Taemin's fans let the idol know how much they love and miss him by trending #TAEMINisback_DDAY on Twitter.
The trend started an hour before SHINee's official Twitter account tweeted "TAEMIN IS BACK." Shawols had been doing countdowns since his enlistment, attaching photos of his cat, Kkoong.
Among fans' messages read:
“THE IDOL OF IDOLS LEE TAEMIN IS BACK.”
“Thank you everyone who waited for Taemin with me. It was tough at times, but we supported each other and did it! The day is finally here. Taemin, welcome back! You did so well. We love you.”

Taemin joined the military two years ago, and he applied for a position in the army's military band and got accepted. At that time, he wished not to reveal details about his enlistment as he wanted to go quietly.
But in January, SM Entertainment revealed he would start working as a public service worker due to his depression and anxiety. He continued receiving treatment and therapy even while carrying out his duty, making his fans love his dedication even more.
Taemin's Solo Comeback After Military Discharge
Following his discharge, Pop Base cited an unnamed source, sharing the good news about Taemin's career.
Per the news outlet, the idol would start preparing to share new music projects with fans. It added that his comeback album has been scheduled to be released this year.
SHINee and SM Entertainment have not confirmed the rumors about Taemin's solo comeback.
