Superman: Legacy Will Feature Some Guardians of the Galaxy Stars

There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to James Gunn's Superman: Legacy film. Although the project is still in development, the Suicide Squad director confirmed that the upcoming DC flick will feature Guardians of the Galaxy actors.

James Gunn is currently busy promoting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 by answering questions about the film on Twitter. However, he also shared an update on Superman: Legacy when a fan asked about possible casting.

"Will any cast member for Gotg be in Superman Legacy?" the fan asked and Gunn had a quick and positive response.

It's not a huge surprise that some actors who have appeared in the Guardians of the Galaxy films will show up in Superman: Legacy. After all, James Gunn is known for numerous repeat collaborations with the actors he has worked with.

For instance, Michael Rooker has appeared in virtually every James Gunn project out there. Rooker even reprised his role as Yondu Udonta in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and although his cameo was brief, it was an emotional core moment for Kraglin.

James Gunn has not yet confirmed which Guardians of the Galaxy actors will appear in Superman: Legacy. However, our money is on Michael Rooker.

The details of Superman: Legacy have not yet been revealed. However, James Gunn had previously confirmed that the film will focus on a younger Superman working as a reporter and interacting with the likes of Lois Lane. Moreover, the movie will follow Superman as he tries to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human family.

Since Superman: Legacy is about a young Clark Kent, Henry Cavill will not appear as the Man of Steel in the film.

It was also confirmed that James Gunn will begin working on the movie in February 2024. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
