Suicide Squad Viral Site Preps Fans For More DC Secrets, Extended Scene

Suicide Squad may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it doesn't stop its marketing team from doing its job. Now, we're given a new viral teaser site, which pushes some supposedly confidential files from DC's infamous A.R.G.U.S.

The viral site is currently accessible, but the only folder that is viewable is the Task Force X from Suicide Squad. In fact, when you click it, the files are mostly headshots of the Squad members. There's also a greenlit folder for Meta Humans though access is still denied, and there are seven other folders labeled "Restricted."

The search engine works well enough to pull up the files. I've tried searching for Joker, but every detail about him, save his alias of Clown Prince of Crime, has been redacted.

I can't help but remember the scene in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where Batman pretty much revealed all of the other members of the league by creative way of computer files with their respective logos.

The viral teaser site comes at an opportune time, since the Digital HD and Blu-ray for Suicide Squad will be released on Nov. 15 and Dec. 13 respectively. it's interesting that, for all the talk about how Suicide Squad was the movie that director David Ayer had wanted, here we are getting the extended version.

Based on the trailer below, the additional scenes may build up Harley Quinn's role. Perhaps the Joker is also in there somewhere, so we can see more of the supposedly many scenes that Jared Leto filmed for the movie?

Maybe we can expect the site to be updated later on, once the other DCEU films are released. It's a nice enough effort, and one that may be an easier go-to site for non-comic book fans who want to follow the character backstories.
