A new trailer for Succession Season 4 has been released, previewing the ongoing family feud and announcing the HBO release date.
Jesse Armstrong's drama goes deeply into the topics of power and family dynamics through the eyes of Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his four children, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Siobhan (Sarah Snook), Connor (Alan Ruck), and Roman Roy (Kieran Culkin). Despite being one of the wealthiest families in the world, this dysfunctional family is constantly at odds with one another, from one betrayal to the next.
And the Roy family demonstrated this once more at the dramatic conclusion of the third season, when the siblings learn that their attempts to prevent their father from selling the business were unsuccessful because Shiv's husband Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) had betrayed them, giving Logan the advantage he needed to stop his children.
What's Revealed in the Succession Season 4 Trailer
The teaser does an excellent job of not exposing one of the more important issues about Succession Season 4, which is if there will be a major plot involving a betrayal between Kendall, Shiv, and Roman. Still, a few critical moments stand out: Tom is clearly concerned about his relationship with Logan and what it means for his marriage to Shiv.
Another scene sees Kendall wandering into the water, recalling his depression from the previous season. On a perhaps better note, it appears that Connor and Willa (Justine Lupe) are getting married.
It has been revealed what will happen in Succession Season 4: the sale of Waystar to tech entrepreneur Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) is getting closer. The Roys are a little more divided and anxious about this potential sale since they are unsure of what their life will be like after it is finalized. This transaction would be seismic.
The Roy family anticipates a time when their influence in politics and culture will be greatly reduced as they struggle for power.
