Michael Emerson exclusively revealed to Screen Rant some details fans should expect for Evil Season 4.

Throughout the run of the Paramount+ horror show, Emerson's character, Leland Townsend, has acted as a nemesis to Katja Herbers' Dr. Kristen Bouchard and Mike Colter's David Acosta during their investigations into numerous strange phenomena.

Given that Evil has also seen him toying with David's close advisor, Sister Andrea Martin, and pushing Kristen's mother, Sheryl, down a darker road, his power only seems to be growing as the show moves further.

Leland Still 'Up to His Own Games' in Evil Season 4

While keeping some Evil Season 4 plot points under wraps, Emerson hinted that Leland's journey would see his and Sheryl's relationship continuing to develop in a distinctive way, particularly as he deals with the young Demon King.

"Well, he's still up to his usual games, he has a sort of on-again, off-again partnership with Sheryl, and they are competitive, and there's a lot of boardroom intrigue at the demon corporation," the actor shared. "So, that's a thing that's happening, and his über agenda of bringing an infant Demon King into the world, so we'll see where he goes with that."

The other significant threat Leland may face in Evil season 4 is Christine Lahti's Sheryl, who has steadily risen through the ranks of the demon corporation. As Emerson mentioned, the two will continue to square off in the hopes of obtaining better rank with their Demon Manager, yet with Leland having successfully brought in the infant Demon King. She will need to do something dramatic in order to secure her boss's favor.

Evil Season 4 Release Date, Details

You may recall that in July 2022, the show received a fourth-season renewal, which is not surprising considering how well-regarded the acting, characters, writing, direction, and cinematography on the program have been.

On the other hand, based on 10 reviews and an average rating of 8.50/10, the third season has a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The third season has a "universal acclaim" score of 92 on Metacritic based on reviews from 7 critics.

However, the season's specific release date has yet to be announced.
