Stranger Things Star Millie Bobby Brown Says She Didn't Like The Season 3 Ending

Anyone who has been Stranger Things Season 3 probably bawled their eyes out when Eleven read Jim Hopper's letter for his adopted daughter. And although all of us accepted the fact that El left Hawkins with the Byers family, Millie Bobby Brown has just admitted that she wasn't exactly happy with how the third season ended.

Brown recently spoke to Elle about her future ventures and although she chose not to talk about Stranger Things Season 4, she did confess that El's departure from Hawkins didn't sit well with her at first.

"I was pissed! I read the script and I was like, 'What, how is this even possible? Why are they moving away?' They were like 'Didn't you read Episode 3?' And I was like, 'Oh yeah.' Because Joyce said she wanted to move away from Hawkins. I don't know, I just felt really against it," Brown said.

OK, we understand how Brown feels here but it looks like she has also accepted that moving away might be the best thing for El. When she was asked about what fans can expect for her character in the fourth season, Brown is hoping that El eventually learns more about herself.

"I hope she finds who she is, without a boy, a male influence in her life. There's Mike and Papa and Hopper and all the boys really. Even without Max, she needs to find herself by herself. Everyone needs that moment in life to sit there and think, 'Who am I as a person, who am I without everyone around me? How can I really love myself?' I don't know if she knows how to do that yet," Brown said. "So I would like an arc for Eleven to learn how to love herself and learn who she is, which is hard in the circumstances she's in. I think that she needs a little self-journey."

It sounds like it's time for El to grow on her own without the help of her friends. Hopefully, her journey to self-discovery will be a good one and not something connected to the Mind Flayer.

Stranger Things Season 4 has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to air on Netflix by 2020.
