Stranger Things Season 4 BTS Video Shows How Jamie Campbell Bower Recorded Vecna's Voice

Jamie Campbell Bower has once again proven that he is a truly talented actor with his portrayal of Henry Creel aka One aka Vecna in Stranger Things Season 4. Amazingly, it took more than just getting covered in prosthetics to become the Upside Down villain. A new behind-the-scenes video reveals how Bower changed his own voice to record Vecna's monologue in the Netflix series.

It's no secret that Jamie Campbell Bower went through a lot for his role as Vecna in Stranger Things Season 4. Putting on the prosthetics that transformed him into a slimy humanoid monster with vines sprouting from his back took several hours every day. However, it looks like Bower didn't need a lot of help when it came to finding Vecna's voice.

A new video has been shared by the official Stranger Things Writers Twitter account and it shows Jamie Campbell Bower recording ADR for Vecna's monologue. Amazingly, the video proves that there were no special effects used for the villain's deep guttural voice and it was all just Bower transforming his voice.

It's truly an amazing revelation but not a huge surprise considering that Jamie Campbell Bower is fully capable of becoming the character he portrays. It is also best to remember that Bower is also a remarkable singer, having led the band Counterfeit from 2015 to 2020.

Bower was initially introduced as an orderly working for Hawkins Laboratory who helps Eleven but is later revealed to be One, the lab's first patient. It is further confirmed that One was Victor Creel's son Henry Creel and had been responsible for the deaths of his mother and sister. When Eleven refuses to join him, he tries to attack her but she uses her powers to destroy him, inadvertently sending him to the Upside Down where he becomes Vecna.

All nine episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 are now streaming on Netflix.
