Star Wars: The Mandalorian Director Shares First Look at Baby Yoda in Season 2

One of the best things to come out of Star Wars: The Mandalorian is The Child, known to the general public as Baby Yoda. The adorable creature is only one of the many amazing things that the show has to offer. And after a successful and explosive first season, season two is heading to Disney+ this October. While fans await its release, a director confirms his involvement while also giving a first look at Baby Yoda in season two.

Taking to Twitter, Sin City director Robert Rodriguez confirmed that he directed an episode for the second season of The Mandalorian. Along with the announcement is a photo of him with The Child, sitting on the cockpit of the Razor Crest. "I am truly humbled to say I have now had the very rare privilege of directing the biggest star in the universe," he wrote. You can check it out below!

Rodriguez was actually rumored to join the show earlier this year, and now, fans of the director will certainly be delighted with his confirmation.

Fans still have a lot of questions coming into season two, including the origins of Baby Yoda, who's after him, and why exactly they're hunting him down. The last episode of the first season teased that Dyn Djarin and the Child will be going on an adventure to track down the little guy's home planet, and fans can't wait to find out more about the mysterious character.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 is set for release this October on Disney+.
