When Star Wars: Visions was first released, although it did not become an instant pop culture phenomenon just like what The Mandalorian did, but a lot of fans of the franchise loved the anime-inspired series. Cinelinx is reporting that the anime-inspired Star Wars series’ second season is currently in development, along with several new animated shorts arriving on Disney+ later in 2022. The report stated that a lot of sources have confirmed the news regarding the show, although no one was offering any details beyond the vaguest idea that some of the animators of Season 1 will be returning, and it is possible that the stories from the first season will continue in new shorts.

Last year, one of the animators talked about the potential to follow up on his story. In an interview with Oricon, he stated: "If that is possible, I would definitely like to try it, and I think the story is complete enough to make a feature film."
