Last month, reports revealed that actor Rosario Dawson has been cast in Star Wars: The Mandalorian season two to play Ahsoka Tano. Since Ahsoka is a fan-favorite character, fans were excited about finally seeing her live-action version and some were thrilled to learn that Dawson will play her, given that the actor has been a top pick in fan casts. Nothing has officially been announced by Lucasfilm yet, and now, Dawson finally breaks her silence about the rumored casting.

"The two universe, Star Trek and Star Wars," Dawson told Variety. "I get in those two, I'm telling you, man, that's it. I will just retire. And then I can just concentrate on going to school and running for office. That would be it."

However, in regards to her The Mandalorian casting, Dawson says, there has been no confirmation yet. "But when that happens, I will be very happy," the actor admits. "I'm very excited for that to be confirmed at some point." Dawson adds, if ever that happens, it would be "a million and one percent because of the fans."

It seems like whether or not Dawson is confirmed to play Ahsoka in the popular Star Wars series, the actor is open and more than happy to be able to do so. Unfortunately, it hasn't been confirmed yet and the actor has said so herself too, but it's nice to know that Dawson is excited to be a part of the franchise and if confirmed, it's safe to say that the character is in very good hands.
