Rosario Dawson Joins Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 as Ahsoka Tano

Star Wars fans have been clamoring to see Ahsoka Tano make the leap to live-action ever since she made her debut in The Clone Wars. Now, it looks like the fans' wishes will come true because the character is set to appear in the second season of the hit series The Mandalorian, and she'll even be played by an actor who's among the top fan casts.

According to Slash Film's exclusive source, actress Rosario Dawson will make an appearance in The Mandalorian as the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's Jedi padawan apprentice and was voiced by Ashley Eckstein. This marks the first appearance of the character in live-action, which ought to make the fans excited and maybe even the actress herself.

Back in 2017, a fan took to Twitter to ask Dawson to appear in a Star Wars feature as Ahsoka, the actress responded with enthusiasm as well. "Ummmm… yes, please?! #AhsokaLives," she wrote. In an appearance on Good Morning America, she also expressed her desire to play the role and even asked fans to start campaigning for her.

Fans have been wanting to see Dawson play the character for a while now and this is certainly a piece of surprising and really good news. Needless to say, Star Wars fans can't wait to see her portrayal and performance as Ahsoka Tano and what's to come in season two of The Mandalorian.
