Star Wars Rebels Season 3 To Feature Lando Calrissian

It looks like Rogue One story writer Gary Whitta isn't the only one joining future Star Wars Rebels episodes.

Website TeeKay-421 had the opportunity to interview Star Wars actor Billy Dee Williams at the Dutch Comic Con. The 78-year-old star, who portrayed Lando Calrissian in the Original trilogy, revealed that he'll be returning to Rebels season 3 as Lando.

The character will reportedly be featured in at least two episodes of the third season. Williams confirmed that he is set to record the episodes in the next two weeks.

Billy Dee appeared as Lando at the Star Wars Rebels' season 2 premiere, The Siege of Lothal. At the time, he was far from his mineral farm on the planet. Most likely, season 3 will feature how the Empire's occupation has affected Lando's farm and "operations," right in the middle of the action.

If there's a chance that Whitta is writing an episode for season 3 and rumors are true that there could be a Rebels and Rogue One crossover, then Lando could be appearing in Rogue One, or at least his voice.

The entire interview with Billy Dee Williams can be read on TeeKay-421's upcoming magazine.

The two-part Star Wars Rebels: Twilight of the Apprentice finale will air on March 30 at 9 p.m. on Disney XD.
