It was revealed last month that Star Wars Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni will be making an appearance at Celebration Europe in July to debut the first two episodes of Rebels Season 3, which will officially start airing on Disney XD in the fall. Well, it looks like fans can enjoy watching the entirety of Season 2 again before Season 3 hits the channel.
Lucasfilm just announced that Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Blu-Ray and DVD copies will start hitting shelves on August 30, 2016.
The hit animated series follows a band of rebels aboard the starship Ghost in an attempt to thwart the forces of the evil Galactic Empire.
As expected, fans can get excited about the awesome bonus features that will be included in the home release, which are detailed as follows:

It's worth noting that the DVD features were reiterated even in the Blu-ray list. It looks like the move is Lucasfilm's response following the livid comments that UK fans aimed at Star Wars: The Force Awakens DVD for lacking the highly-publicized documentary features and deleted scenes available in the Blu-ray copies.
Now that the release of Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Blu-Ray and DVD copies have been announced, it's highly likely that the release date of Season 3 will be announced soon. Hopefully, we'll hear more of that from Dave Filoni during Celebration Europe on July 15 to 17.
