Although the Obi-Wan Kenobi series got delayed, Star Wars fans are still looking forward to learning more stories about the Jedi Master in the show. It'll still be a while until it arrives on Disney+ but its new working title has been revealed.
The show has initially gotten the working title "Joshua Tree," which was a reference to California's Zabriskie Point, a filming location for Tatooine. Now, in the latest issue of Production Weekly, the new working title for the Kenobi series is "Pilgrim."
Although it might not reveal a lot of what the show is about, it could indicate that the Jedi Master will be on a journey as he travels and explores Tatooine. Given that he is living on the desert planet far away from Coruscant, the series could show how he eventually adjusts with the place and learns how to survive as he watches over Luke Skywalker. It could also hint at Kenobi in his search to learn more about the Force.
Lead star Ewan McGregor has previously revealed that they will start shooting "at the very beginning of next year." The actor says he has read the scripts and thinks that they're "good," but the team will continue to work on those "to make them even better."
It's been a while since he last shot a scene as the beloved Star Wars character, but he is "excited" and can't wait to "put the cloak back on." He has been preparing for the role and keeping himself updated by "reminding" himself through watching the hit series The Mandalorian as well as new films.
