Star Wars: Jon Favreau Says The Mandalorian Season 3 will be Din Djarin's Redemption Arc

There is little doubt that The Mandalorian Season 3 is one of the most highly anticipated shows next year. So what exactly can we expect in the Star Wars show's third season? Jon Favreau confirmed that Din Djarin is getting a shot at redemption after everything that went down in the previous season.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni recently took part in an interview with Entertainment Weekly on the Dagobah Dispatch Podcast (via The Direct). During the interview, Favreau pointed out that Din Djarin can still get some redemption after his transgression against the Creed.

"Well, we established in The Book of Boba Fett that there was an opportunity for the Mandalorian to be redeemed because he had transgressed against the Creed by removing his helmet," he said.

"And among his group of Mandalorians, that is something that's not permitted. Now, we know that there are other groups of Mandalorians where they have different sets of rules," Favreau continued.

"In The Clone Wars, we saw with Dave and also with the character that I voiced that the Mandalorians are very different there," he added. "And so these different groups are coming together and we're going to figure out... the Nexus point for all of those communities, of course, is their homeworld from which they're exiled, which is Mandalore."

It's great to know that Djarin is getting a second chance and that we'll get to see Mandalore in The Mandalorian Season 3. With that in mind, we can't wait to get more updates on the series soon.

For now, The Mandalorian Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. However, the series is already expected to return on Disney+ in February 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
