Star Wars: JJ Abrams Teases Ahsoka Tano Cameo in The Rise of Skywalker

It looks like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is going to be filled with surprise cameos and unexpected Easter Eggs. Director J.J. Abrams has just hinted at the possibility that fans will actually see Ahsoka Tano in Episode IX.

Abrams recently spoke to Sora News about his upcoming film and the filmmaker was asked if there was any chance that Ahsoka will show up in the sequel. Interestingly, Abrams cheekily avoided the question by suggesting that fans should keep their eyes peeled while watching the movie.

"Hmmm, Ahsoka, huh? Well, then you'll probably want to watch closely during The Rise of Skywalker," Abrams said.

We're not sure if Abrams is simply trying to get more people to buy tickets to the film or if Ahsoka will actually have a cameo in The Rise of Skywalker. Although we'd really love to see her in action again, it's probably best not to expect too much this December. For now, it sounds like there's a possibility that there will be a small Easter Egg referring to the character.

Ahsoka might not be the only major Easter Egg in The Rise of Skywalker. It was previously reported that a clip from the film revealed a connection to Knights of the Old Republic as what appears to be Darth Nihilus is seen in the background. However, this has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will hit theaters on December 20.
